Thanksgiving is just around the corner! It’s always great to relax and enjoy some of that delicious food with loved ones. However, it’s also important to recall the true meaning of the holiday: gratitude. Our feline friends are definitely something to be thankful for! But if Fluffy could list the things she was grateful for, what do you think would make her list? Read on as a local Portland, OR vet lists some of the things kitties appreciate.
Kitties are very sleepy little furballs. While Fluffy will eventually sleep in pretty much every spot in the house, she will definitely appreciate having a few soft beds of her own.
Cats are very clean, which is one reason they make such great pets. Fluffy prefers her litterbox to be kept nice and neat. We recommend scooping daily, and changing the litter every week or so.
Kitties are absolutely adorable when they are feeling playful. Make sure Fluffy has lots of fun toys, and take time to play with her daily. This will be fun for both of you!
Fluffy isn’t actually cold-blooded, but she does love to bask in the sun! Put a comfy bed in a sunny spot for her.
Fluffy’s catnip obsession is definitely one of her cuter traits. Buy your cute pet a new catnip toy, or even a small plant. If your furball doesn’t like catnip, offer her a honeysuckle toy instead.
We always recommend that cats live indoors. Our feline pals are much safer inside! That said, Fluffy really does enjoy birdwatching, and will certainly appreciate a comfy window seat.
Fluffy’s box obsession is definitely one of her cuter traits. Give your furry pal some empty boxes every now and then!
We know, Fluffy would probably disagree with this one. However, your kitty will be much healthier with proper veterinary care. She’ll also be much more comfortable if she’s kept current on her vaccinations and parasite control.
Fluffy is actually quite emotional, and gets very attached to her humans. Your furry buddy may show her affection in some pretty adorable ways, such as sleeping on your head or following you into the bathroom. Kitty affection is definitely something to be grateful for!
