COVID-19 Precautions

Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

As many of you are aware, a novel strain of coronavirus, which results in infected individuals contracting COVID-19, has been rapidly spreading across the world. Since its emergence in December, we have been closely monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 virus as well as the recommendations of both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Throughout this time, we have been taking extra steps in an attempt to limit the spread of this virus and ensure the safety of our clients and team while also providing the quality care you expect from us. Our practice remains open for appointments; however, because the health of our clients and their pets is of utmost importance, we are choosing to make proactive decisions about how we will provide services in an effort to protect our clients, their pets, our team, and the community as a whole.

For the next few weeks, we will be implementing the following precautionary measures, effective immediately: We will be limiting appointments to make every effort to have no more than one patient and client in the reception area in any given time. We will only use 2 exam rooms each separated by more than 15 feet.

If you need food, flea products, medication refills, etc. please call in advance and we will have you prepay for the products. When you arrive please call us from the parking lot and we will gladly deliver the items to your door.

Needless to say we will be enhancing cleaning procedures throughout the day to minimize client and staff contact with the virus.

If you or anyone in your family has had a fever, or any of the respiratory symptoms typical of COVID-19 or has traveled within the past 30 days, we ask that you please alert us in advance so that we may figure out how best to provide care to your pet while ensuring the safety of our team.

In the event of euthanasia, we will allow families into the building; however, we ask that no children/teenagers accompany you. These policies are subject to change following the release of new information from the CDC and WHO or in light of any new directives from state or federal government officials.

Please feel free to call with questions, 503-665-1126.

With you in health,

Dr. Haughom and the whole team at Wildwood Animal Hospital
